Summary: I had a generally comfortable two-night stay at the Sheraton in Kagoshima. The room was really well laid out, comfortable bed, great shower, plenty of space and had excellent amenities, so I felt quite at ease. One highlight was definitely the full-body oil massage I had—the therapist did a fantastic job, and it really added to the relaxation of my stay. On the downside, the dining experiences were a bit underwhelming. The restaurant meal at the Izakaya was just okay, not really up to the five-star standard I expected. The buffet dinner had a good hot food selection, but the fish station wasn’t restocked and was quite limited, which was disappointing as I was looking forward to that the most. Also, I felt a bit rushed at dinner when the bill was brought to me before I was even finished eating or had a chance to order another drink, which was uncomfortable, especially as it was only 8pm and not anywhere near last orders. Overall, the stay was quite pleasant thanks to the comfortable room and great spa experience, but the dining could use some improvement.
